Passion Blog

One thing I am very passion about is graduating from Thurgood Marshall Academy. I been in this school every since i was in the 7th grade. I am passion about this because time is going by fast and I cant wait to walk across that stage and get my diploma. I had work hard and become a new person as I grew older. Another thing that I am passion about is going to college. I cant to go to college because I heard so many story of other people experience of college, there majors, what they did what they didn't do, what they regret doing things in there fresh men year. In 2-3 months I will be attending college for my self, and someday I will come back and tell other senior kid that is in high school about how college was and what they can do so they can be college ready.

I realize that my biggest passion is having a family and loving parents. Not all kids my age have loving parent like I do. I am glad to have parents  that still love me. I could not ask for a better mom and dad than the one I have now. Another thing that I am passion about is making money. Money to me is every thing. people say that having to much money change your life for the good and the bad. people also say that more money equal more problem. I agree with both of these statement but to me money is everything. I wont change who am even though I become rich today.

Senior strip was fun. I was going to miss every moment I had enjoy  with my classmate. Thursday May 7 I had to wake up 5:00 am in the morning and take the train down to my school. We had to be at the school around 6:30 so we can leave early and avoid rush hours traffic. Before we had  left ms Tomlin and Mr peter had to check our bags to make sure that we don't carry any drug or alcohol during the trip. The senior trip was a 5 hour bus ride to Richmond Virginia. The trip felt like it was a longer ride because we had made a lot of stops.The first night we got there we had went the swimming. The swimming pool was nice but i felt like the pool could had been bigger. After the swimming pool we had went back to our rooms to relax and sleep. The next day I  had woke up 7:00 am and got breakfast.After breakfast we had went to Bush Garden. Bush Garden was a fun experience I wont forget. I made sure that I rode every ride.After Bush Garden we had went to a restaurant called all you can eat.The food at the restaurant was so delicious. After the restaurant we went back to the hotel and we had a little pizza party. The last day of the  trip we had went to king Dominion and from King Dominion  we headed home.

One thing I would like to talk about is our community. The world we live in is a world full of mess. the situation that happen in Baltimore about the police officers involved in the arrest of Freddie Gray will face criminal charges, including manslaughter and murder. The city's chief prosecutor said on Friday, 1 May that the state's attorney for Baltimore City was a  said 25-year-old Gray black man who died a week after his 12 April arrest. The black man name was Freddie gray.  before Freddie gray die he had   asked for medical attention twice during a ride between the site of his arrest and a police booking center but the police did not give it to him. I find this crazy how a lot of  our African American people are always suffering from police brutality. this is not the first time this had happen. there been other court case that resemble the same problem.  Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown Eric Gardner, and Tamir Rice. these young black African American kid were all shoot and killed by police officer. None of these officer were indicted. Early in the school in Miss Tomlin Class   I remember reading a article called white people grow up with privilege. That article I read almost brought me to tear because if Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, Eric Gardner and Tamir Rice were all white none of them would be dead. I found that crazy because racism in America is still on today.

In English class we still reading mid summer night dream. As of right now we are acting the play out with WT. were are practicing the play for our performance on Tuesday. This coming Tuesday my class will be going to Brooklyn academy of music. Each  person have a part to practice. I like the fact that we get to talk among our class  mate about the topic. I like the warm up game we play before the practice of the mid summer night dream. I also like the open discussion we have .Theses open discussion help me understand the book better. When WT the class is more interested of there class mate performance. I don't have a part in the mid summer night dream. I sit back and be a good audience for my class mate. I don't want to be rude so i sit down and be quiet. i like to help out so i give my idea of of the actor could do a better job.

During second period Ms Hegeman got us taking the no re dink quiz's. Sometimes i hate taking the quiz class because i do the homework to early and i forget what i did in the homework. I can  honesty say that the no re dink has help me a lot with my grammar. My grammar and punctuation skills has improve every since we stop doing the grammar worksheets.

Wednesday march 25 2015 i was absent from school. I wasn't in school yesterday because I was at the doctor the whole day i hadn't been to the doctor in three years. I hate going to the doctor because they take way to long to do things. yesterday i had to wait 1 hour and 30 mins on this one person that came only for a check up. That was the worst because on top of that there was a long line i had to wait on and there wasn't enough chair for every one to sit on. I was so bored i had nothing to do. i was upset because i forgot to charge my phone the day before. So i waited on the line for like 3 hours bored out my mind. So once i finally got in the doctors was so nice to me. I was there for a check up. My check up only took like  25 mins. I couldn't believe how fast that took. I was so confused of how other people took way longer than mine.The doctor i had was Doctor Wilson, she was so sweet because she told me a story of when she was my age.she told me a story of how she hated going to the doctor.Me and Doctor Wilson understood each other because i was thinking the same things. I ask her what took so long with the other people she told me it was the other doctor that was taking  there sweet time. At the end of my check up she apologizes and  gave me a basket of fruits for waiting that long.

in ms hegeman class we are reading midsummer night dream as a class. i like the fact that we get the chance to read together as a class we can get a better understanding of the play.the more read the more interested the play  become. acting out the plays is a bonus in our learning. acting the play out is another way for us learn the play better. sometimes people are visual learner and need to see a glimpse of how the play went. i think i really enjoy mid summer night dream later on in the play. when we first read the play act 1 scene 1 i didn't like it because i could understand what was happening.

 i like the fact that WT come into class to act out mid summer night dream.i cant wait until WT come back to our class within the next two week from now. WT is very creative. i enjoy the little game we play in class. even though i didn't win but the competition between me and my class mate got me excited for mid summer night dream. my favorite part of the game was when shaleena and Sharif walk right into  each other. i also enjoy another game when lastar was trying to leave  the room and and Sharif was trying to stop him from leaving. the game i didn't like was when we had to walk around the room and stop when he said stop. i think i didn't like it because i was lazy those today's.

interdisciplinary post

last  semester we learn about the participation on government for ms Tomlin class. this semester we are learning about economics. so far we learn what is economic, the characteristic of economic and etc.we are currently learning what is the free enterprise , what are the six main principles of free enterprise and what is the flow of circular of enterprise. we are also learn how the circular flow affect the government. we talk about how the government would be like if there no free enterprise.

in miss young class she got us doing a project on youth violence. so far we learn a lot about youth violence dating violence young teen getting hurt and killed at a young age. we learn this because this connect to the reel world just like mike brown and trayvon martin. we read a lot of of journal article and manginess of how teenagers cant live pass the age of 25 because of violence in america.

in ms bartoli class we are learning how to use a microscope and drawing the images we see when we look at the microscope. we learn how to hold it properly and how to wrap the cord around the microscope the correct way.

in my first period class were are learning how to calculate the standard deviation, and identify the mean of a problem. also we are learning how to compare the standard deviation to another problem set. so far we learn that if the standard deviation is higher than the mean your answer is correct.
